Training dogs to find a specific odor (Birch and Anise) and alert their handler that they've found it. Train the dog using containers and everyday objects in a room. This is a beginner's class, no previous scent work experience needed.

Tuesday evenings in the winter. At various times and outside locations when weather permits

Practice finding hidden odor at the skill level of your dog. In the winter, we practice Interior hides, and container skills. In the warmer months, we go to various locations and practice finding hides on vehicles, and exterior settings.

Discussions include good handling techniques, developing confidence and motivation for the nosework dog, and scent theory

Includes trial preparation for NACSW, AKC, and UKC trials
