This class is designed for puppies just starting out, or adult dogs who need a refresher.

The focus is on manners and behaving well at home and out in public. Skills taught include: Focus, walking politely on a loose leash, coming when called, “Leave it”, strangers approaching, people at the door, body handling and other basic behaviors.

With a maximum of 5 dogs, you’ll get lots of individual attention in this class, and I can customize class to include other manners not listed.

Includes access to short educational videos (1-2 minute) which review class lessons to aid in your training at home

Dogs less than 1 year of age will automatically be evaluated for the AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy program at no additional cost.
Therapy Dog Prep / Advanced Manners

Therapy dog prep is $130 for 8 classes with Canine Good Citizen evaluation on the last class.

Another option is taking the Advanced Manners portion for $100 for 6 classes.

This class is set up so that people can take a 6 week advanced manners class or add an additional 2 weeks of class, in preparation for the AKC Canine Good Citizen and therapy dog testing.

For those who choose the 8 week option, the CGC evaluation will be on the last night of class.

Must have taken a Basic Manners class or be able to demonstrate that the dog has basic manners.

Skills taught include greeting visitors at home politely, staying on a mat, down, going politely through a door, meeting friendly dogs, making vet visits less stressful, more walking politely on a loose leash, distractions, Focus, “Leave it”, coming when called, hand touch, chin rest. Optional: preparing for the Canine Good Citizen test.
